2023 Chevrolet Camaro
The Chevrolet Camaro is still a classic muscle car with all the power and performance drivers are looking for, but it comes with modern features and technology. This model offers buyers a choice between a sedan and a convertible body style, and it comes with several different powertrains and a variety of trims, so there's a Camaro available for every buyer. It carries over to the 2023 model year with some new exterior paint choices and some new wheel options. Take a look at some details for the 2023 Chevrolet Camaro.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The entry-level Camaro is the 1LS. It comes with 18-inch wheels and keyless entry. Step up to the 1LT or 2LT for more tech and features in the cabin, or the 3LT for heated and auto-dimming side exterior mirrors. The LT1 adds Brembo brakes in the front, 20-inch wheels, and all-season tires, while the 1SS has 20-inch wheels, summer performance tires, and Brembo brakes in the front and back. The 2SS comes with the same equipment as the 3LT, and the ZL1 adds a ZL-1 spoiler, 20-inch wheels, and upgraded brakes.
Engine (Power)
The Camaro's base engine is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder gas engine that puts out 275 horsepower. It works with either a six-speed manual transmission or an eight-speed automatic. A 3.6-liter V-6 is optional for several trims. It generates 335 horsepower and uses a 10-speed automatic. The LT1 gets a 6.2-liter V-8 with 455 horsepower, and the top-level ZL1 uses a supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 with 650 horsepower.
Performance
No matter which engine you have under your Camaro's hood, it delivers plenty of power. One of the best things about this modern muscle car is that it not only performs when going in a straight line, it is fun to drive over curvy back roads too. The base engine is the most fuel-efficient, but the ZL1's dual exhaust and launch control are just plain fun.
Interior
There's room for four in the Camaro. The entry-level model has cloth upholstery and a leather-wrapped steering wheel, but moving up to higher trims adds heated and ventilated front seats, power-adjustable front seats, driver's seat memory settings, and a heated steering wheel. You can get it with either a 7- or 8-inch touchscreen, and it comes with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The 3LT has a wireless charging pad, and it also upgrades to a nine-speaker Bose stereo.
The optional Technology package adds the 8-inch touchscreen and upgraded stereo to the lower trims, and depending on the model, you can also get an integrated navigation system.
Safety Features
The 2023 Chevrolet Camaro comes standard with a rearview camera, stability control, and the Teen Driver system that allows primary drivers to set limits for their younger drivers. They can set speed and stereo volume restrictions along with other parameters. The 3LT adds some advanced driver aids, including forward collision warning, automatic braking, a head-up display, and rear parking sensors. This model also comes with a blind-spot monitor and rear cross-traffic alert.
